Supa Fuzz
A true-to-spec recreation of the late 60s Supa Fuzz.
The Supa Fuzz is a rare three transistor fuzz produced by Marshall in the late 60’s. The circuit resembles the earlier 1966 Fuzz Face with an additional transistor stage at the input. The result is a higher gain germanium fuzz that retains the versatility and “clean-up” of the Fuzz Face. Rolling back the guitar volume gives the Supa Fuzz a range of sounds when used in conjunction with the bias and fuzz controls.
The bias control provides a trumpet-like fuzz at the clockwise extreme, a heavily gated fuzz in the counterclockwise position, and classic 60s fuzz tones in the middle range of the knob.
