Moon Lion - Dual Rangemaster / Germanium Fuzz Face
1965 in a box. Two classic circuits made in the 1960's by Dallas Arbiter in one enclosure. The Moon Lion Dual Rangemaster / Germanium Fuzz Face.
The Fuzz Face features your choice of Mullards, New Markets, or Texas Instruments germanium transistors. The fuzz side is tuned for a glassy and articulate clean-up when rolling back the guitar volume. The fuzz knob and guitar volume control the gain of the pedal while the bias knob alters the character of the fuzz. Turn the bias counterclockwise for a trumpet like fuzz and glassy clean-up, turn counterclockwise for a gated fuzz, and set in the middle for a range of classic fuzz tones.
The Rangemaster is a colored boost that emphasizes the upper-mid frequencies of the guitar. The toggle switch modifies the EQ of the pedal for three distinct shades of treble boost (hi, mid, lo). Use it as a standalone or stack it with the Fuzz Face for a sound that rivals the MKII Tone Bender. With both sides stacked and the bias set low the clean-up is incredibly articulate and touch sensitive.
