Build Your Own: Supa Fuzz

$139.00

Everything you need to build your own 1967 Supa Fuzz

The Supa Fuzz is a three transistor fuzz manufactured in England in the late 1960’s. The circuit is partly derived from the iconic 1966 germanium Fuzz Face, but with an added transistor stage at the input and some tweaks to the EQ and bias. Together these changes give the Supa Fuzz a sound of its own with quite a bit more gain and sustain than its predecessor. The circuit is responsive different pickups and guitar combos, and exhibits a range of gain levels when rolling back the guitar volume. This version features an external bias control to alter the bias of the third transistor stage.

No expense spared in selecting parts for this build. Each transistor set is meticulously tuned with an amp / breadboard and guaranteed to sound true to the original. The 50’s style eyelet board layout and quality components will ensure this circuit will be blowing out your eardrums for years to come! The build document for this kit includes a parts list, detailed layout diagrams, and step by step instructions with pictures. There is also a supplemental overview of popular boutique modifications, vintage variations like the MKII Tone Bender, and circuit analysis for those who wish to take a deeper dive and explore the inner workings of these classic circuits.
