World’s smallest Zonk Machine: 100mm x 45mm x 35mm
A hand-wired recreation of the late ’60s Hornby Skewes Zonk Machine, built in a compact Gorva enclosure with top-mounted Lumberg jacks. The Zonk is a close cousin of the MKI, with revised biasing and EQ that push more upper mids and give this circuit a slightly more aggressive, “splattier” response.
The circuit utilizes a hybrid of vintage Mullard and Newmarket NKT germanium transistors, NOS TRW and F-Dyne capacitors, carbon composition resistors, and eyelet board construction.

Equipped with a standard 9V DC jack. This product uses vintage PNP transistors which require an isolated supply. <10mA current draw.
