A hand wired replica of the early 70’s Harmonic Percolator — a rare and chaotic two-transistor texture machine with a range of classic and eccentric sounds.
This circuit sports a hybrid silicon / germanium design that clips asymmetrically and imparts the signal with an unpredictable and musical distortion. While the Percolator is famous for its higher gain sounds, it is capable of some very unique and under appreciated lower gain textures that resemble an overdriven console but with more warmth and natural compression. This version features an added 3-position diode switch to alter the character of the fuzz.
