An original design that marries my favorite elements of 60’s era Vox and Fender. This iteration falls closer to a brown Fender voicing, but with some added top end complexity and chime. The preamp features a tone section derived from the AB763 black panel preamp and parallel input stage with presence and cut controls inspired by sixties era Vox. The front panel features a bright switch, feedback switch, and mid switch. The circuit utilizes turret board construction and mechanically isolated tube sockets to ensure reliability and performance. The chassis is loaded in a finger jointed pine cabinet in lacquered black tweed with a 12” Jensen alnico Blackbird speaker.
